Following WWI In 1923 there was an agreement between Greece and Turkey to a population exchange where all Greeks in Turkey would go back to Greece and visa versa.
This village at Kaya Koy ended up being deserted as a result.
The houses are each about 50m2 and are in quite good condition with the exception of the roof as they were made of hay.
At it's peak there were 2000 houses here now about 500 with a few churches thrown in.
